Cameron Whitcomb & Default Kick Off 2026 Rock The Lake Artist Announcements Ahead of Full Festival Lineup Reveal

Rock The Lake Music Festival, powered by GSL Sports & Entertainment, has revealed two of the artists who will hit the outdoor stage at Prospera Place from July 10-12. BC’s own alternative-folk and country rising star Cameron Whitcomb and alt-rock band Default are the first to be announced for the three-day downtown Kelowna festival, with more artist announcements to come.

Evolving since 2016, Rock The Lake has grown to be one of the largest and most dynamic festivals in the Okanagan Valley, taking place right in the heart of downtown Kelowna.

Juno Award-nominated Cameron Whitcomb recently won over fans in Kelowna with a powerful performance at the 2025 Canadian Country Music Association Awards (CCMAs), hosted at Prospera Place this past September, where Whitcomb took home both the Breakthrough Artist and Fans’ Choice awards.

Also from BC are platinum-selling post-grunge alt-rockers Default, led by Dallas Smith. With a catalogue of radio hits and crowd-pleasing anthems, the band remains a defining voice of a generation of Canadian rock.

Rock The Lake has always been about bringing our community together,” says Trish Jelinski, General Manager & Vice President, GSL Group Sports & Entertainment. As our community changes and grows, we want to ensure we cater to those who live, work, and play around our incredible city, which includes curating a lineup with an inclusive approach to the evolving genre of rock, rising talent, and, of course, homegrown artists. We’re excited to blend these first two high-energy Canadian artists with some definite fan favourites that will be announced soon.

Both 3-Day general admission (GA) and VIP first-release festival passes are available now in limited quantities at selectyourtickets.com. Festival-goers can take advantage of the festival’s “Rock The Lake, Not Your Budget” payment system to split their festival pass into three payments over the coming months. More information is available at Select Your Tickets online or at the box office.
