NHL Stanley Cup Game #1- Viewing Party Announced by Prospera Place
in Support of the YMCA of Southern Interior BC’s Community Programs

Hockey fans in Kelowna can now book tickets to attend a Stanley Cup Final Viewing Party at Prospera Place this Saturday as the Edmonton Oilers take on the Florida Panthers in 2024 quest for the cup!

GSL Group, the managing company of Prospera Place, have announced a 2024 NHL Stanley Cup Final viewing party on Saturday, June 8, 2024, as the Edmonton Oilers face-off against the Florida Panthers in Game 1 of the final round of the playoffs.

The viewing party will be a ticketed event with net proceeds from ticket sales going to the YMCA of Southern Interior BC, a non-profit community organization addressing the most urgent needs in our communities—from isolation to unemployment, inactivity, poverty, and more. The YMCA has been a major part of the GSL Group and is something the Lee family has been passionate about for years, so we’re very excited to build on what started in Vancouver with the Robert Lee YMCA.

“GSL Group’s mission has always been to bring people together and connect communities,” explains Mike Strawn, VP & General Manager of Sports and Entertainment at GSL Group. “Our goal with this event is to deliver an experience that inspires young athletes and fans in our locale through a sport we know Kelowna loves, and ultimately help better our community with this partnership with the YMCA of Southern Interior BC.

“We are incredibly grateful for the partnership and support of GSL Group,” says Tammie Watson, VP of Philanthropy YMCA of Southern Interior BC. “Their dedication to our community is instrumental in igniting the potential of low-income children and at-risk youth. Together, we are creating brighter futures with a collaboration that makes a meaningful difference in the lives of those who need it most.”

The game will be viewed on a massive 32-foot screen set up at centre ice in the arena. Doors open at 4:00 p.m. PT, with a 5:00 p.m. PT face-off time for the Oilers road game. All times are subject to change. Prospera Place will have a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverage options for sale, along with concession food options.

Experience a family-friendly NHL playoffs atmosphere right here in the Okanagan! Tickets are just $10, and available at 9 a.m. PT on Wednesday, June 5 at selectyourtickets.com. More information can be found at prosperaplace.com.
