Prospera Place, operated by GSL Group, is excited to share that over 135,000 visitors came through the doors during the event-filled months of January to March 2025 amidst a celebratory 25th-anniversary season. This stems from a powerhouse lineup of sold-out concerts, Kelowna Rockets home games, and the highly successful 2025 Montana’s Brier.
“The incredible turnout reflects the passion of our community and the dedication of our team in Kelowna to deliver world-class experiences consistently,” said Graham Lee, President and CEO of GSL Group. “From concerts to championship sports, we’re proud to create unforgettable moments for our visitors and guests here in the Okanagan and beyond.”
The 2025 Montana Brier was a highlight, featuring ten days of curling action and a sold-out championship weekend. According to Curling Canada, collaborating with the Prospera Place team was “an incredible experience,” with staff demonstrating “unwavering professionalism and a commitment to excellence.”
Beyond the Brier, a series of sold-out events further highlighted the venue’s remarkable start to 2025. Sum 41, Our Lady Peace, and Riley Green all sold out, filling the arena with thousands of fans. Meanwhile, Mother Mother and The Beach Boys drew enthusiastic crowds, contributing to an already electrifying season of live entertainment. During this time, the Kelowna Rockets also hosted 18 home games at the arena.
Survey data collected from attendees over the past three months reflected positive sentiments from organizers and promoters. Patrons who attended events during this period rated their overall experiences above 8.6/10 and indicated a likelihood of returning exceeding 8.8/10.
Looking ahead, Prospera Place is set to continue its anniversary celebrations with national tours featuring Bush, Jon Pardi, and more, along with six massive Cirque Du Soleil shows and the eighth edition of the Rock The Lake Music Festival. The 2025/2026 events season will be bookended by two major national events: the 2025 Canadian Country Music Awards in September and the Memorial Cup Tournament in May 2026. Since its opening in 1999, over six million people have attended events at the venue, and with an exceptional start to 2025, that number is only growing.
