Trish Jelinski Joins GSL Group as Vice President of Sales, Sports & Entertainment

GSL Group is pleased to announce the appointment of Trish Jelinski as Vice President of Sales, Sports & Entertainment for GSL Group. With over 25 years of experience in venue management, event attraction, sponsorship sales, and business development, Trish will spearhead revenue growth initiatives and enhance strategic partnerships for Prospera Place and other GSL venues.

Trish previously served as General Manager of BC Place Stadium, where she played a pivotal role in attracting major international events and expanded corporate sponsorships. Notably, she led the stadium to become the first in Canada to achieve Global Biorisk Advisory Council (GBAC) certification during the pandemic, ensuring top-tier health and safety standards.

Trish’s extensive background includes executive leadership roles with the iconic Madison Square Garden and the New York Rangers (NHL), as well as Lincoln Hockey and the Washington Capitals (NHL), and Northlands in Edmonton.

I look forward to building on the strong foundation built over the past 25 years at Prospera Place while moving the business forward with our many sports, entertainment, and community partners.”

As a Certified Venue Executive (CVE), Trish has successfully developed premium seating programs, corporate partnerships, and data-driven sales strategies to maximize venue profitability. She holds an Honours Graduate Diploma in Communications from Mount Royal University and has completed executive leadership programs at Harvard Business School, Cornell University, and Queen’s University. Additionally, she is an active leader within the International Association of Venue Managers (IAVM).

In her new position Trish will focus on expanding event bookings, enhancing VIP experiences, strengthening relationships with sports leagues and promoters, and implementing innovative fan engagement strategies. Her leadership will further advance GSL Group’s mission to establish Prospera Place and its portfolio of venues as premier entertainment destinations.
